After moving from New York to Chicago in 2012, owner Rebecca Goldfarb marveled at the lack of neighborhood delis and markets. Her favorite places in NYC were ones where you knew the person behind the counter, who knew how you took your coffee and breakfast sandwich, and had that bottle of wine you needed in a pinch.

After successfully bringing her previous business, The Social Table, from NYC to Lincoln Park she was ready to partner with long time colleague, Ian Ciulla, to bring this new idea to life. They wanted to create something with the ease of a neighborhood shop with high quality food & goods.
In November 2019 L&M Fine Foods opened up as a speciality grocer and deli. Over the past 5+ years the shop has evolved as we’ve gotten to know our community better. Now we focus on hand-crafted sandwiches with fresh, house-made ingredients, along with great finds for retail food goods, local products, ice cream, wine, coffee, and more.
But it’s not just about the food—our friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere are the cornerstone of our corner store. We couldn’t do it without them or you.
